If you look at the reviews above, the speed difference between the LAN upload and the download is 20MB/s.

DL = ~43MB/s
UL = ~23MB/s

Now, the reason i'm asking is because my computer (P4 920, Asus P5LD2) also has a large speed difference, but the opposite.

UL= ~47MB/s
DL = 32MB/s

I just can't figure out why the upload and download speeds can't be similar? Me confused :confused:

I believe ISP control these upload/download speeds to conserve bandwidth. 90% of the time, PC users download, rather than upload.

Now, if you have a dedicated T1 from your service provider, you are guaranteed 1.5 MB UP & 1.5 MB down. Only businesses really need that kind of guaranteed bandwidth.

At home, gaming, internet browsing, etc.., this is all download (typically).

Why yours is different, I have no idea, who is your ISP?, and is this cable?

lol, ok i think i'm confused. Are you talkning about your HD performance or network performance? LAN performance, or internet?

All sorts of factors can affect your LAN traffic speeds. Your machine, drivers, switching fabric, target machine, it's drivers, CPUs on either machine, base resource useage on each machine.

That you achieved the reverse results really doesn't say much. You are close...in fact your specs are a bit better than their test results.

tried it with vista, i got 4.3MB/s... lol, i guess i'm sticking with Windows XP for now :p
