i always see these wd .50cent/1gig deals for the states, but up here in canada, its like 1$/.5gigs :( even after rebates, its still more then 1$ per gig, i dont get it :(((
 
buy your stuff online man. ebay, newegg, and stuff like that. i never buy anything in the stores anyway. even in the states. screw the stores, don't pay retail. i'm an online customer for life.

Yea... we call it the GST (Goods and Services Tax)... was only supposed to be around a "couple of years" to help beat the national debit.

Canadians aren't the most taxed people on the planet, but it sure feels that way sometimes.

Oh, and they tax shit coming across the border too... anything with a combined value of $60 CAN ($40US).

There's a lot of fraud with foreign buyers. I don't blame them for not selling to you. However, I've never been impressed with my own Newegg experiences.

and yeah where i work, we sell 80gb wd JB's for 95$, my price is cheaper, but for retail price, i cant find anyone else cheaper
