Hi,
I bought an LSI controller card and have 4 intel x-25m g2 drives. Currently I am running Vista on my desktop and I have it backup to WHS. How should I go about upgrading from my standalone hard disk to an ssd raid0 setup? I'm concerned WHS will not preserve alignment, and I'm not sure how to align them to begin with.
Also, I'm considering upgrading to Windows 7 RTM (I can download through my technet subscription and it will work fine, right?) and I'm not sure if I should restore using WHS to a new raid array and then upgrade to windows 7, or if I should just install windows 7 and then manually reinstall/copy files to the new install.
Any specific steps on installing the raid card, aligning, etc. and settings (AHCI?) would be greatly appreciated. I am not very good with the storage aspects of computers
Ideas?
Thanks!
