Would definately like to meet some of you guys/gals at PEX this year. Maybe we can organize a HardOCP meetup for happy hour or something.

Was thinking about it but then my boss said it would be better if I went to VMworld. No argument there.

I'll be there. I'm flying in Friday to go through a few days of vCAC 6.0 training. Not sure when I'm flying out. Maybe Thursday..maybe even Wednesday so I can get back.

I have some vCAC 6 training myself later this week...thinking i'm going to focus on Cloud, some Hybrid, and Operations MGMT for content this year...and yes..again..i'll be taking another exam, IasS,..at PEX, probably shouldn't but what the hell. Had to reschedule VCAP5-DCA for week before PEX..have to get through all this material and finish your Pluralsight training. End of year push had me at customers 99% of my time last few months.

Maybe we can do a HardOCP meetup Sunday evening to kick off the Conference?!? Thoughts?

I'm 50/50 on whether I'll go. Part of me wouldn't mind getting away for a little while, part of me wouldn't mind staying home since I've got other travel scheduled this year.

Registered today for it.
Any idea when you can register for the sessions? I don't see an IOS app available yet.

If i recall from last year it was a couple of weeks prior to PEX where you could actually sign up for sessions.....but that was a year ago..don't quite remember..so i'm guessing next week or the week following.

I was able to get in on a special boot camp for vCOPs through are Partner Channel..only 24 seats..can't wait. This is the content I really look forward too at these events...not to into the marketing focused stuff.

Yea I'll be attending the VCDX Boot-Camp class on the Saturday before. Then i plan to hit up everything i can regarding to vCAC

I'm going to do that next year...was going to do it this year..but I was chosen as the Technical Lead for Operations MGMT so i'm booked through Wednesday. Thursday i'm going to take the VCP-IaaS exam.

If you have any plans to go for VCDX make sure and attend a bootcamp. They are great. Really wish that was available when I did it. :)

I'm definately going to try for VCDX but my thoughts are even if I don't reach that, the journey will be worth it in spades....just to get better at Design and Administration. First and foremost for me is to be really really good at what I do..the Certification will be gravy..

As are we...lol....but i'm sure the Carolina's are more appealing than Upstate, NY...lol.

If anyone wants to freeze their asses off in Minnesota, let me know. We're hiring, too. :)

Actually, we have offices all over the US so you could work in Texas, Colorado, Carolinas, Florida, Washington, California, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, and others I can't think of right now.

Headin to PEX tomorrow for Ops MGMT Boot Camp. Anyone else attending that class?

Gave up my seat in the vCAC class so I'll be flying out on Sunday instead of tomorrow.

If anyone is going to the EMC bootcamp on Monday I'll be on the partner panel.

I think there was one seat left as of yesterday....go go go!!!

I'm in the vCOPS Advanced Course...actually almost over..then I have to head back to the hotel and study...VCP IaaS on Wednesday. Was going to do the VCAP5-DCA for $100 but the testing center isn't open on Thursday. I'll head back for the Welcome Reception....

Coworker just got a 450 on the VCP IaaS test, didn't study at all. He said it was ridiculously easy.
Im going to try to wing the VCAP5-CID, anyone have any quick tips for it?

Im' pretty much winging it...the good news is that i've had vCloud Director stood up and using it for the past two years. I took the practice exam on VMware..got 1 incorrect...i'm pretty confident..plus I have a couple of production installs at customers under my belt.

The unfortunate thing is I put a lot of effort into getting up to speed with these products only for them to really not be a part of my space...

Just passed the VCP-IaaS exam. All VCP Certs acquired. Now i have zero excuse to move to the first VCAP..DCA. I went in pretty cold. If you have direct experience with vCD/vShield then go for it. Its actually a very good exam that tests you're abilities with those products. Time to celebrate after company meeting.

Wow..nice! Had a nice meeting with my boss...$18 drinks..gotta love it..lol. Man..my head is pounding...need to make the VSAN Sizing Best Practices Session..last one..then i'm out!
