Who's ever broken a SATA connector?

We have a thread polling those who have had a hardrive failure. I don't have the authority to make a poll, but who has broken a SATA connector here?

These things are pretty damn fragile. A wrong tug on the SATA cable can get you a nasty crack. I read an article on Tom's where the reviewer did it. I personally snapped off the SATA connector off my Raptor, leaving just millimeter thin gold leads sticking out of the Raptor that I have to carefully connect to a cable to get it to work.

Anybody else done it here? A hard thing to RMA as well, as I don't think warranty covers it.

It doesn't.

Did it to my (now Firebomb's) 37gb Raptor.

Still works fine, but I'm limited to that cable, since the broken plastic lug is inside the SATA end.

I'm damn near close to breaking one on my NV8. Mobo makers can really be tards sometimes about board layout :|

Haven't done it. It sounds like bad design, though - I'd want the cables to be really really easily breakable, and the motherboard and drive connectors to be bulletproof. Literally if possible. Then just get 2x as many cables as you need and never worry about breaking the drives.
