Yes, the guy was actually telling me to rub the pixels "with medium pressure in a circular motion". I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that point, but figured that laughing wouldn't be the best thing I could do.

I know it sounds funny but it does work. I had a Planar monitor with 3 stuck/dead pixels and fixed them all with a rub they kept on working till I got rid of the monitor. Your just fixing a poor connection when you do it.
 
personally, I like to put on some barry white and some steam from my shower, and gently caress the pixels while singing to them :p
 
update: It is now friday at 2 o'clock and they haven't delivered my monitor, it's been 2 business days (new year's day was a holiday) and I am very displeased, now I will have to wait until monday to get it (hopefully), so far, I am very unimpressed with Dell's service...
