Whoa Nelly....

Old news, but it is indeed nuts. They're the only retailer charging that much.

people complain, but somebody is willing to pay that much and thats why retailers charge that much.

i thought they were similar to the egg?

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

They were by far my worst experience in shipping, service, and RMA. Go check out info on googlegear.com its the same company.

Thats a $500 card, not a $400 card. But yes it is still price gouging.

My expierence with Googlegear/ZZF has always been great. They have free shipping like newegg on most things, and about the same price, usually lower from what I have ordered.

That is a lot of money for a video card. People will still pay though.

I've only had great service from Zip Zoom Fly. Just as good as NewEgg. I buy from which ever one is cheaper. Shipping is both exactly the same to me. And both have damn tax cause I live in CA.

High demand low supply = Insane pricing.

I do know of people who prefer Asus branded PCB's and are willing to spend an extra bill for their mobos, vid cards, whatever.

I'm really impressed with Asus M6 line of modular whitebook laptops. I took a look at some of the internal components, and it almost looks like a 4-phase power mobo. Asus also usually takes the time to put in good cooling and use high quality capacitors.

zipzoom practices selective discrimination. If you fall into that demographic they will try to pass on the *savings* to you.

Savings = Previously used crap.

I need not explain, those who's been fucked by etailers knows what i'm talking about.

Stick to egg, I've learned my lesson.

Sorry, if you feel you got a raw deal there. Your claim is a little vague though....care to elaborate? Oh, I forgot you said that you need not explain.

Guess resellerratings doesn't agree with you. Zipzoomfly has an 8.87 lifetime rating and a 9.12 six month rating.

If you live in the state they are based contact your state attorney and ask if anything can be done.

What they are doing is not illegal.

If they charge $2000 and people still buy them, is it illegal ???

Even if people didn't buy them at $2000, it's still not illegal - it's just stupid.

But if they're selling like hot cakes at that price, then it makes sense to me.

I ordered a ti-4200 from them once...it fried after about 2 days of use....I had to pay a restocking fee and return shipping just to get my money back...didn't want another 4200....never ordered from them again

Isn't zipzoomfly formerly known as googlegear? A few years ago I was about to order from them... but the shipping for a stick of ram was more than $20 minimum. Bullshit place.

Things may have changed, but I'm still sticking to the egg.

I've probably made about 20% of my purchases from them, while about 70% is from the egg, and 10% elsewhere. I've never had 1 problem from them at all... although I hear their RMA/warranty service is crap compared the the egg.

Anyways about the thread.... WOW. That just rediculous, yet its still not as bad as allstarshop was charging for the ones they had.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from them before they were ZZF. They seemed to up their prices since the name change. I don't even look at their website anymore unless Pricewatch tells me it really is cheaper.
