Whoa Fan Whoa !!

does it actually spin that fast or is it just an incorrect reading?

My northbridge fan reads between 72000 and 82000 rpm. Sometimes it drops back down to 4000ish. Chalk it up to bad reading.

Stupid Asus Probe. Never did like it too much. I had a a7v333 board once and it said the cpu temp was 170F all the time, when the bios and mbm said it was around 115F. Weird

That reminds me of a time working at Best Buy when we plugged a 30V printer supply into a fan while the RPM sensor was plugged in to a mobo. it read 13,000+ RPM before it burned out. We were trying to get it to hover on the counter top. :D
