Who makes the best ram?

Mushkin, Corsair, Kingston. I probably forgot one or two brands.

Now that Winbond stopped making BH-5 and are ending production of CH-5 ..what now will Mushkin (and everybody else) buy? :D

Bh-6 chips are in Mushkin's new DIMMS (the special 2-2-2s). I think Corsair might be using Hynix chips in some DIMMS now?

For RAM, if you OC, Corsair and Mushkin DIMMS are probably the best (Mushkin really rocks). For stock machines and stability, Crucial RAM.

Personally, I liked my new GEIL PC4000 better than some Kingston stuff I've had in the past. I'm running at 230 FSB 1:1 on 2-3-3-6 timings. It's better than the expectations I had for it.

There are several good brands out there. Mushkin, Corsair, and Kingston are amonth the top. Mushkin is the best because they produce the best PCB's on the RAM market and they are great for overclocking. Along with that Mushkin has the best customer support out there bar none.

Crucial is very stable RAM, ample for non-OCed systems. It'll be very good for you.

I was told not to get crucial because I should shoot for a cas latency of 2, whatever that means. Crucial is 3.

Well, if you really want CAS2 RAM, you'll have to get Corsair Low Latency RAM, Kingston HyperX CAS 2, Mushkin, or any of the other manufacturers out there who make low latency RAM.
