who makes a USB KVM switch?

I think ill buy a apple mini pc and i want to use the same keyboard and mouse I am using on my windows rig, both of them are running of USB so i need a KVM switch with atleast two USB ports on it. I guess ill live with out 5.1 sound on the apple for now. :(
 
I have a IOGear MiniView™ Micro USB PLUS KVM Switch - GCS632U it works great for me. I don't use the audio support though. There isnt a button on it to switch however, it uses a hotkey to switch (2x scroll lock on mine) which sometimes takes a quicker than i do tap.

It supports all the extra buttons on my Logitech MX510 and cordless keyboard, the drivers for each work normally. Im using it with 2 WinXP installations.

I got mine at best buy for like 50 or something.

Does this one actually disconnect the keyboard and mouse, forcing windows to redetect them everytime you switch? (ie - causing a 5-10 second delay between switching)
 
Logic3 Makes a USBKVM.... It actaully remapps all your PS2 devices to USB it also has 4 USB ports on it.

When you switch it does have to redetect your devices.

I dont think so. I believe its using some part of the USB HID spec for kvms. What i mean is, i see in windows an extra device or two that are the kvm itself, when i switch over i hear the device inserted/pulled sound effect, but its not loading drivers or anything. KB/mouse are usable right away. I think it just notifies windows that the devices arent being used with it anymore.

And as a bonus, its on iogears list of apple mac mini accessories to get :)

now i just have to scrounge up 479 for a mac mini with educational discount. and then the 50 buks or so for that KVM switch
 
everybody is saying that osx pretty much needs 512m ram to be useful. So you may want to include that in your considerations.
