I started to put this thread on the motherboard forum, but this is the [H]arder of the two forums, so I put it here. I'm not certain where it should be. Anyway...........

I consider DeoxIT to be as important as any other component in computer assembly, but I've never seen it mentioned around here. Why not?
 
Hmm.. I use some contact cleaner I got from work, a pencil eraser or sand very lightly with some very fine sandpaper when I want to clean contacts. Seems to work for me so far.
