Just installed Gigabyte 6850 with 11.11c drivers.
Each time I go through doors and new game content is loading I get white border around the edges of the screen.
Previously I was using 8800GTS and didn't have this problem.
Is this software related or hardware problem?

Same thing on my 6970. It's like the window loses fullscreen status for a second.

I noticed this in other games as well, the second I started using ATI cards.

Same here on 6970. No biggie though. Shouldn't you be using 11.11b, not c with that card. I could be wrong.

Edit: and I am. :)

Is this a problem with 11.11c drivers or do all drivers have same issue?

Same problem here on a 5850. Changing drivers makes no difference for me but it's not a big issue. If it was happening on anything other than loading screens, I might be a little more upset.

I have a light-ish border on my eyefinity setup, but only on the surround screens, not on the center.

I only see this when using anti-aliasing in games, and its usually only when using supersampling AA on my ATI card. Try turning off the AA and see if it goes away. I think it has something to do with the screen shifting a few pixels when AA is enabled.

I get it too It seems like a windowless vs. windowed issue. Definitely nothing to worry about. I get it Every loading screen and I force widescreen mode during windowed mode and it still does it.

Yup, the problem went away when I turned off anti-aliasing.
Problem does not happen with FXAA.
Is the problem with ATI drivers or with Bethesda engine?

my guess is the horrendous Engine. I mean I love this game way to much. My favorite so far but damn is this game buggy. None of the bugs are game breakers by any stretch of the word (other than the backwards dragons) but it does have its minor bugs and this is one of them.

The game is great. I stopped playing games but got into this one right away. It is a pretty big game. They seem to be focusing on fixing stability issues instead of quest completion issues though. But no matter, I'm having fun

Is it really that big of a deal to make a thread about? lol

The things people complain about...

It is if you have a mild case of ocd :)
Quck test, does this bother you?

Girls, its not even a problem, its on the loading screen. Your drinking some soda during that time, taking a bite of your sandwich or animal cookies...Its there, its gone, you dont see it in game. Its not a problem..

Its an ATI thing and its been this way for a long time now. It doesn't really bother me that much. I think the higher the AA level the more noticeable it becomes. I see it with SSAA and high levels of MSAA.

LOL, bumping up an old thread to confirm that the white border around the loading screen happens with my 7970 as well and the latest AMD drivers 12.4.

Turned off anti-aliasing and fixed the "problem", which is really a non-issue anyways.
