just recieved the XFX 4890 I ordered ( I'm still waiting for the rest of my system to arrive tomorrow. ) I ordered the standard $199 edition but when I opened it I noticed the power connectors are a 6 pin and 8 pin. I thought it was supposed to have 2 6 pins. Did I get a higher clocked card or is it maybe just a new revision?

I just got my two XFX 4890 cards today also. I ordered the $200 vanilla version, which was pictured as having a red PCB and two 6 pin power connectors.

However the cards I got had a black PCB and used a 6 pin and 8 pin power connector. And the clock speed is 900MHz instead of 850MHz.

But the model number on the card says HD-489A-ZDFC, which is the same model number of the red PCB 850MHz 2x 6pin card. And the cards even had a sticker that say they are 850MHz.

What is disappointing is that accessories were clearly intended for the 2x 6pin PCI-E version, because it includes two 6 pin adapters, but no 8 pin adapter.

So I think it's kinda cool that I got the nice looking black PCB card with a little overclock. But I unfortunately didn't have the 8 pin adapters on hand.
