Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz 800MHz FSB, L3 2MB Cache

or

Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz 800MHz FSB, L2 2MB Cache

They are both the same price.

Is there a diffrence between L2 or L3 cache?

(On a side not, when are the dual core processors going to be coming in? Especially dual Xenons (if they exist) will any be out by july?)

Thanks

Wouldn't L3 cache have greater latency? Though, I think the L3 cached ones have 128k or so on L1, 512K on L2 and the 2mb on L3. The one with L3 will have the greatest sum of cache.

There isn't such a thing.I think you are reffering to the 1MB L2 version. (?)

robberbaron > you are refering to the Xeon MP, the multiprocessor version ( > 4) , which indeed is a 3Ghz/4MB L3/400Mhz FSB and it costs around 3600$. ;)

Hate_Bot > it is a typo.As you can see from the following submission there are a 1MB and a 2MB L2 versions.
