seeing as how people have had great success with these, i've decided to pick one up. anyways, which specific card are people having success with? also are newer versions just as unlockable? lastly sapphire seems to be offering cards with and without vivo, since this is my first ati card in a while, what is the purpose of vivo?

While there are many GTO cards, I believe there is only one GTO2.

vivo just means video-in/video-out, if you don't plan on using a tv with the card or plugging in a vcr or something then it's probably not needed. Also I don't think having it will increase the succession rate

Quick fix for you, Sapphire x800GTO*2 with VIVO comes with 16 Pipelines already enabled, get that so you don't void your warranty.

Yes, I just received my GTO2 VIVO yesterday and it did in fact have 16 pipes enabled, yay

Currently my card is at 550/550.. we'll see if i can get it any higher :)

I wish so badly I had the VIVO card.. because I want a PS2 and GT4... but I don't want to buy a TV.

thanks, gonna place my order now. also two more questions, when people say they oc it to x850xt pe speeds, they just mean oc'cing the core and memory clock past the stock specs of those cards right? also, what is the best cooler to get for this card?

Stock cooler is pretty good... keeps mine below 70c. I would suggest a Zalman VF700-Cu though, quiet and better.

As for overclocking, the card I bought comes with 12 Pixel Pipelines, and I enabled the rest of them for a total of 16, then took the card from 400/490, all the way to 600/600, and it plays games artifact free for hours on end.
