Hello all,

Why would I pick one of these hard drives over the other? They are both the same size and the same price? After you make your choice if you be so kind as to explain why I would truly appreciate it! :)

Everything I've heard about the WD KS series is good. 16MB Cache, low heat, low-ish noise. Compared to the Seagate Barracuda, which may be a tiny bit slower, but has a 5 year warranty.

Which is more important to you? 2 additional years of MFG Warranty, or a tiny speed increase? Also, check ZipZoomFly.com - They've got the same drives for the same price (Or $1 cheaper) with free shipping.
 
Seagate for reliability.Of course I'm speaking from personal experience. I've had several WD drives fail on me in the past. And I've always used excellent power supplies and cases with great airflow.
 
If its going to be a storage drive, I would go with the Seagate. If its an OS/Apps drive, the WD for the 16mb buffer.
