I am doing a simple basic build for a friend who wants to go with AMD. He will probably go with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W.
As far as motherboard choices he sent me the following links:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131246

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131096

What are the differences, and which is a more versatile board? There will not be any overclocking. He is probably going to go with 2 gigs of PC 6400 mushkin,
will there be any compatibility issues? Also because he does not game I am giving him my 7900 GT 512 MB video card.

He wants to be less than 450$. He all ready has a dvd burner and hard drive.

Suggestions would be welcomed.
So far the build would be one of the following
motherboards:

No not as good.

G.Skill have well known and documented compatability issues across many motherboards, some of which will render te system unbootable. Personally I'd go with the Team Xtreeme, atleast its reliable :p

IMO Jorns suggestions are pretty good.

give me a break...
to pay 40 bucks for an assurance is retarded, just go online and see if the board has issues with that particular ram

i've used corsair and on my builds as well as team xtreme crucials and gskills

some have their issues some dont.. its the luck of the draw

strip off all the labeling and its all samsung

My 4gb of gskill has been flawless over 4 months now. on a Gigabyte MB.
