i have narrowed my choices down to the following:
9800 pro
6600gt
6800
i need an agp, i was wondering if the base 6800 is really that much better than a 6600gt??? the 9800pro is just a suggestion, cause i really dont know what im taling about. i think for >$200 the 6600gt would do me fine
 
well the 6800nu is the most powerful of the listed cards, but retails for $299 (and is becoming [H]arder to find.) I say save $50 bucks and the headache of searching and grab the 6600 gt, plays everything out there and is quite affordable.
 
If $299.00 is within your budget, consider an AGP x800xl which outperforms the 6800NU and performs closer to a 6800gt. If you rather spend less, then go for the 6600GT which you can find between $200 and $250.
 
i'd suggest that you gauge your decision on your gaming habits. do you play a lot of games that require a decent video card?
my suggestion would be to go with the 6800 since it scales better (its performance will increase at a better rate with a faster computer).
if you don't want to upgrade often than purchase something that you think will still be good enough for tommorrow.
 
6800, then if you couldn't get that, the 6600GT

the 9800Pro is slower than both of those
