im contemplating a new case. ive had this coolermaster for over three years now, and well, its showings its age. anyway, i have narrowed it down to these two. they both look really kick ass... im not sure which would be the better to go for tho. anyway, id just like to know what u guys think of them.

p180, the 3d aurora....just looks childish imo. the p180 has some solid features and in my opinion, cant be touched by anything made by gigabyte.

I'd go with the P180; I'm extremely pleased with mine. It performs well thanks to its multitude of fans, it's quiet thanks to its construction, and it really looks good compared to your average chunky, slapped-together piece-o'-plastic Dell or HP case - or the 3d Aurora, for that matter. I think the 3d Aurora looks a little cartoonish, personally.

Antec's customer service is also something you've got to see to believe. When I sent them an e-mail telling them about the QC issues I was having with my side panels and front door, they sent me all new parts for free, no questions asked. I've now got a P180 that's effectively silenced thanks to the very high-quality replacement panels, and a front door that doesn't bulge out AT ALL. The new front door they sent feels a lot heavier and sturdier than the original one, and it's got plenty of strong magnets.

3D Aurora.. not a slapped together piece of plastic, havent seen reports of warping side/front doors . Very well constructed, and IMO gives better cooling that the restrictive P180. my 0.02 :)

i read something about its side panels.. apparently there are different thumbscrews. if you use the wrong ones it will screw up the side panels.

thanks guys.. ill put the p180 on my wish list.

If you plan to watercool get the Gigabyte

If you plan to aircool get the P180

Its basically as simple as that. You can watercool a P180, but the Gigabyte case is much easier, and is actually designed with watercooling in mind. while the P180 was designed with air cooling in mind.

I would go with the p180. I just got one, and its a sweet case. It's really silent, and with plenty of room to expand. However, the front door is warped... maybe I'll try sending an email to antec.

If the room is cold, the aluminuim "flexes" due to the nature of the molecules in the aluminum getting closer to getter thus causing a "bend" If you warm up the panel with say a blow dryer, it will go back to its natural straightness

i own the 3d aurora, and i was in the same dilemma as you. I had either the p180, v1000, or the aurora. The aurora is a great quality case. Metal front faceplate- not shitt plastic. excellent cooling options and space. Pre-drilled holes for watercooling etc, it doesnt get any better.

li-li is just too proud of what they produce... i personally dont think they are that great.

I dunno... when I wheel my V2000A around, people get pretty jealous...
I like the layout of the V-series. Reverse ATX is a plus!

on topic: I vote Aurora unless you want to get the P180 for noise concerns. I hear it's good for that.
