I have a thermaltake Volcano 6 with the copper insert in the bottom
with a 80mm 5600rpm fan

But, in another computer there is a full copper heatsink with a 60mm delta 8000 rpm fan.
(It looks sort've like a gladiator 2 but alittle taller) i'm guessing it's just generic.
I was wondering, Which could I see lower temps with?
Right now, i'm running at 48c idle Which is fairly high for my comp right now..it's hot today.
It runs roughly 9c hotter then my case temp.
I got a 1700+ palamino(=[) not oced at all ( heard the 1500+ to 1900+ or something are about the hottest amd cpu's they've ever made? perhaps mislead but they do run hot)
Cables are all neat but no other case fans except a box fan sitting next to it
Also, sense i'm on the subject of temperatures.. I put my 1700+ in my dads comp(soyo dragon KT400 ultra platinum edition) and the temperature of it ran about 53c idle
Now, usually my cpu in my mobo runs at 40c on a nice day and full load at about 44c
dads mobo: http://www.soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?id=176
My mobo: http://www.soyousa.com/products/proddesc.php?id=37
I've looked at the bios updates for both mobos, neither say anything about wrong temperature readings. But, I was wondering if anyone experienced wrong temp readings with any of those mobos?
Any help on any of the subjects would be appreciated.
