Using an LGA775 2.8 800 fsb / 1mb cache with 1 gig of ram and a 9800pro, or using the same 1 gig of ram and 9800pro but with an Athlon64 2800+ im on now? I think I could oc the 2.8P4 since I can't on my A64 because of no agp/pci lock. Which would be the best for playing mainly battlefeild and half life 2? Thanks

I say keep the A64 system you have now. If you really want to overclock then just upgrade the motherboard and keep the processor.

I have both processors. Just debating on which to use as the main rig.

Intels are good for overclocking as some of them maintain low temps.

I had a AMD, overclocked it, needed a new cpu :p
