Which Water Blocks should I get?

CPU:
Danger Den TDX
AquaXtreme MP-05 Pro
Swiftech Apogee

GPU:
Danger Den Maze 4
Swiftech MCW60
AquaXtreme MP-1

NOTE: if there are better blocks for or around the same price, please recommend them to me.

Now which pump:

AquaXtreme 50z
DD (Laing) D5/ MCP655
DD (Laing) DDC/MCP350
Eheim 1250

If you have the case I would go Aquacomputer if I were you...I wish I did

He didn't ask about AquaComputer, he asked about the 3 options he gave you

Anyways, without knowing your ultimate goals I will assume you want performance since those are all pretty good performing blocks.

I would say MP-05, MP-01, AquaXtreme50Z. Partly because the MP-05 and 50Z are really nice, and the MP-01 because it is from the same vendor so you save on shipping costs :p

And he never said that another company could be suggested either...infact, I believe he said
"f there are better blocks for or around the same price, please recommend them to me."

He might be able to find some that fits in his range...man ....AquaComputer sure is taboo with you

GO AquaComputer...YEAH...GO AquaComputer!!!

dissregard shipping as i have to buy a BIP3 from DangerDen.com and i will order block(s) and pump from dtekcustoms.com (free shpping!) and same price as cool technica

Well I still think the 50Z is the best pump in that list.

The MP-05 is probably the best cpu block.

As for the gpu block, its a toss up since there haven't been any real good tests on them. Either the Maze4 or the MP-01 would be my choice.

the 50z is made more for smaller rads cuz it has less heat.
the D5 is made for big rads and has more flow and head than the 50z

The keywords being "better" and "price".

does you both want to stop arguing//dissing eachother?

just because he recommended something that is more expensive doesnt mean you need to get on his case

now for the MP-05, the versions i can afford:
Pro
Pro LE

how much of a temp diff?

thing is.....you're going for a triple rad. that means that you can run some REALLY quiet fans on there. the D5 isn't the quietest pump on your list, even if it is the highest performing. on the other hand, the MP-05 looks to be pretty restrictive, so you might actually need the extra power that the D5 offers.

whatever GPU block you like........it's not likely to make a bit difference.

oh ok, thanks alot to everyone.

Final descision:
MP-05 Pro
Maze 4
MCP655
BIP3
Masterkleer
Zerex
Dye-Lite Green
T fitting and plug

I just got my MP-05 SP Limited Edition in the mail. I'm wondering if a couple circular scuff marks are normal on the bottoms of these. I tried to rub it off but its not able to be rubbed off.

great... the D5/MCP655 is out of stock everywhere now

how much of a performance hit (temp) am i gonna take if i get a 50z ?

do you have any idea how hard that is to answer? i'm guessing not.........

even for blocks with well validated flow-performance curves it's a pain in the arse. with the scanty data available for the MP-05 it's just not possible.

to answer that question you need to plot a graph that is the superposition of the CPU block, GPU block and rad pressure drop vs flow curves, then plot the pump's flow vs head curve on the same graph, see where the two plots intersect, read off the flow and pressure drop value, go over the the thermal resistance vs flow curve for the block and work out the temp increase for a given heat load, do the same for the rad, and you then have a good estimate of where you temps will sit with respect to ambient.

as it said, it's a PITA. if you feel like doing it yourself, by all means. i'll try to clairify anything you have questions about.

at the end, the answer is giong to be "not much" and the 50Z can be a quieter pump, if you get a good one.

Just Ordered:

-Danger Den
BIP3
Maze 4 GPU Low Profile
ClearFlex 60 1/2 ID, 3/4 OD, 10ft
Zerex
Green Dye-Lite

-D-TEK Customs
MP-05 Pro LE with Delrin nozzel kit
AX 50z Pump (blue)

I decided on the 50z so i am going to have a silent computer.
