you should specify "internet privacy VPN" because just "VPN" can mean a lot of things in this sub...
the lifetime offers seem really shady to me...
i think i'd have to really find a reputable company that i thought was going to be around for a while...
i'd also want to be able to configure my router to route all traffic for my network through it... like a dead switch... no VPN connectivity, no internet...
as of right now i see no point in using one, but it would be nice to know the details if i decide to move someplace where i may not have the privacy on my connection (appt complex with shared networking, etc)
