Hello,

I am not very good with graphics card so my apologies for the simple question. The problem is, I am trying to purchase a graphics card on NewEgg. I am very interested in the new GTX 780 model that came out. However, I noticed that they have 3 different versions and they all seem to be the same thing. I am only interested in the EVGA brand as I have never had a problem with them before. Below are the links;

I will be running 3 monitors on this configuration if that matters. Resolution on each monitor is 1920x1080. Please let me know the differences between these cards and which is the best one that I should purchase. I know that they are sold out but I will wait until they are available

well i start with the differences...

first: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CUIVTCS?tag=intercept-kb-20 this is reference GTX 780... this mean its just made by the NVIDIA specs.. nothing added, the more basic of the three cards with a base clock of 863mhz and boost clock 902mhz

second: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CTY84KI?tag=intercept-kb-20 This is a Overclocked version of the GTX 780 in this model the base clock its 941mhz and boost clock 993mhz. as you can see this card will offer a slighly superior performance than reference card above.

third: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CUIVSNS?tag=intercept-kb-20 this is the best of the three cards... overclocked with a base: 967mhz boost clock: 1020mhz. and not only its a superior performance as you can notice, also it has the ACX cooler that mean better cooling performance than reference.., so even being with a high clock than other card, this will perform cooler and silent..

as i said the best option its the third card and of course its the card i recommend... if you have another question or more technical detail.. tell us.. :)

Since they're all roughly the same price, always get the one with the better cooler.
 
Thank you guys for the quick reply. I now understand the differences between these 3 cards.I was wondering if I will lose out by purchasing the ASUS GTX780-3GD5 instead of the above cards. Unfortunately the SuperClocked EVGA I want is sold out pretty much everywhere. I'm looking to get this as a birthday gift and I don't want to be late.

Will I lose out by purchasing the Asus model?
 
Bear in mind that all of the GTX 780's currently available are from the same reference batch (not binned) so the only difference is going to be the cooler (on the third card) and the mild (but guaranteed) overclock on cards 2 and 3. The PCB, capacitors, memory, etc are identical on all 3 cards so they will all likely have the same overclock potential. This applies to all brands (ASUS, EVGA, Galaxy, etc.) So in effect you won't miss out on anything, hardware-wise, if you go with another brand.

That said, I'd personally choose the card that has the ACX cooler since I prefer the reduced temps/noise levels those types of coolers generally provide; and it is only $10 over retail.
