ATI RADEON 9800PRO 256MB GDDR2 256-bit
or
ATI RADEON X800 PRO 256MB GDDR3 256-bit
or
nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT 256MB GDDR3 256-bit

Well the GT of course. I don't know whay you have the 9800Pro in there, it's not in the same league/price point.

I don't know a lot about computers... in a differen't thread someone mentioned that I should get the 9800 PRO.. cause right now I have the X300 SE... how much better is the 6800gt compared to the 9800 pro

I concur. Although the x800 pro can match the 6800GT in some games, matching it in some and losing in others doesn't justify the purchase. *kicks self in the ass* :p

Well you can BIOS flash the newer 9800 Pro's to 9800XT's for a lot less money. That may be why its there.

if you can get a 6800GT for 250 bucks that's a killer deal and i want to know where you're getting it!!

but which one is best for you really has to do with what you plan on doing with it. if you want to play the latest games with all the goodies on and the resolution up, then the 6800GT is the best card you listed, but it usually goes for more than $400 USD

right now it's 154.24$ on ebay

he doesnt have his rigs specs listed...you could have just suggested him getting a 6800gt for a 1ghz athlon and 256mb pc133 .....it just wouldnt be worth it....

The 6800GT has the most potential for most games in mid to high end systems. The x800 Pro comes in 2nd followed by a distant 3rd 9800 Pro. If you dont have alot of CPU cycles to throw around, save your money and get a 9800 Pro. Else, strap on a GT and say yehaw!

aren't x300's pci-e only? In that case it rules out 9800 pro's completely. I would say 6800 GT all the way.

Yeah the 9800pro is poop

This guy has a pci-e machine as I explained to him in his other thread. He has no viable choices yet for replacement of the 300 do to availability issues and the 9800 is not even a choice since there is no 9800 with a pci-e interface

I know, I didn't quit understand that at the time but now I have more of an understanding... I don't know too much about computers yet... I'm reading threads to learn more. Thanks for the feedback though.
