I was contemplating getting some new speakers. I have primarily been thinking of either the Logitech G51 or the Z-5300e speakers. I don't really want to spend $350 on the 5500s. So my question to you guys is what you think of them? I am open to other suggestions as well, I want to keep it below $150 if I could, but $200 isn't out of the question.

What are you looking for? 2.1? 5.1? Are these for gaming, movies, music, or a combination of the three? Which of the three is most important?

have the same question..which one is better..i want to use it for movies, games and music..

i see that z5300e has better wattage than g51..so I am more inclined towards them..

nybody plzz help or suggest or advise..

thnx

I think I am going to go with the 5300s, primarily because of the wattage, and people seem to get a buzzing out of the G51's subwoofer.

Factory refurbished Onkyo HTIB sets starting at only $149.99 ;)

Since they are all seperate components, and include a known decent entry level receiver, you can always update the speakers and subwoofer at a later date.

Occasionally you can discover deals on other decent HTIB setups here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=109

Edit: Try searching ebay for more Onkyo deals, there's even a few authorized dealers there. I just did a search for "Onkyo" and found some interesting stuff.

I bought the Logitech G51 system its only 90$ after MIR on Amazon making it a killer deal i think. If I had 200$ to blow however, I would definitely get the z5500 which is 200$ after MIR on Amazon.
