Hey Guys,

I'm going to be upgrading my TNT2 PCI card, which I'm currently using (after selling my AIW9800Pro).

Now, i'm looking to purchase top of the line, I don't want an X800Pro, but perhaps an XTPE? I'm not interested in Doom 3, HL2 and other future games are my main concern..

Would you recommend the 6800GT or the X800XT-PE? I don't have a brand preference and simply want what is best.
 
if you're comparing top of the line, you might want to consider 6800 Ultra's to the XT-PE's.
 
If you're going high end, you'll want the 6800UOC or x800XTPE. Depending on when you want to get it, I'd suggest x800XTPE if you're going to be playing HL2. If you need a card now, the only one you'll be able to find is the 6800UOC.

But if you're waiting for a bit, definately get the x800XTPE. You can't go wrong with either, but if HL2 is your main concern, and you're paying $500, you'll want the best, period :)
 
Ok, comparing both top ones then.

Oh, and I have access to either the 6800Ultra or the X800XT PE, I simply wish to know which one to purchase. :)
 
For HL2, get x800XTPE, no doubt about it :)

EDIT : And if you wanted to grab me an x800XTPE, I have $550 waiting for you :)
 
Both the 6800U and X800XT are awesome cards, but if you care more about hl2 and its mods, you should get an X800XT.
