Would all be connected to DVI as I'm going SLI soon. Would use these to watch movies, play games, internet, novice photoshop use, office apps (word, excel etc).

Also if you said 2 x dell, would that be the same decision if the samsung ends up being the new samsung with better contrast ratio and 16ms response time (which it prob would be if it's out when I need to buy them).

Thanks.

I have the 2005FPW and absolutely _love_ it. But, I've always said that there's nothing like a single huge display over 2 smaller displays, whether it's one 19" over dual 15", or one 21" over dual 19".

As long as you are not gaming then the Samsung.

I say 1 234T. When gaming or watching movies a dual display setup has the bezels of the displays right in the middle of the picture. I have a 243T. I tried 2 Samsung 213Ts also. I found the 243T to be much more practical for what I do with my computer. Dual displays are great for productivity but widescreen is great for recreation. The 243T is a good gaming monitor dispite its 25ms rating. I compare it to the Sony P234 here:

id probably say one 243T. this would be because i really love the 1920x1200 res...so big :) you could get dual 2005FPWs but dual screens are akware for me at least, youd only be able to use one while gaming (which is pretty good cuz i use that :)). id go for a single 243T; as much as i love my 2005FPW, a single 24" > dual 20"s

Thanks for the replies - I seem to be learning more towards dual dells as im sure 20" 1680x1050 res will be fine for gaming and watching movies. Also I'll be putting in a digital tv card in this computer and act as a PVR, I quite like the idea of casually having the TV on one monitor while writing a word document on the other for instance, although I'm not actually sure if that is possible - never owned a dual monitor setup before.

The poll results seem to be going with the two dells as well :p also I can get two dells still a bit cheaper than the one samsung, and I would be gaming so 25ms could hinder me slightly. If I were to go with a large LCD (23" +) then its definately the samsung.
