which router for me??

sorry but i did a search and nothing useful helped here.
my question is this, i have a Linksys wireless card installed (WMP54G) and it installed easily, but i get a lot of searching from the current router we have which is a Belkin F5D7230-4.............the computer i'm using is 30 feet away and i seldom get more than 24mbs...............
is there such a router that will deliver stronger transmitting power?
