Which RAID card for me?

I am working on a home file server. I plan to start with a case that can hold 12 hard drivers. 4 of which are going to be on the mobo controller, and the other 8 I want to organize into a RAID 5 arrary. Which RAID card would you recommend for this setup? I am on a limited budget as well...
 
If you use Windows, you'll need at least a Highpoint card; they hold 8 drives, and do software raid 5 fairly well.
