I'm trying to find a BIX2 rad but then read about the D-TEK Pro-120. Some have said it outperforms the BI rads by a fair amount.

Opinions???

Well, it seems that it's a 120.1 rad, while the BIX2 is a 120.2 rad. Obviously the BIX2 will be better, 120.2 rads always ware.

But I think you are wasting your money on a BIX. If you are going to use high flow fans, get the dual heatercore from DD. If not (under 80 cfm on your fans), get the Black Ice Pro 2 from DD. It's thinner.

Oops, sorry my bad. I meant BIX (the single 120mm rad). Trying to compare the single 120mm rads ;)

honestly i dont think you will notice a difference in temps anways. Most people ask for the "best" parts but really they only differ by a few degrees, and even then there are other factors as well.

Yea, there isn't much difference except price. Unless you ant to go with the Thermochill PA160. That this is EXPENSIVE, but it gives performance on par with dual 120mm rads.

Thanks guys.

I still have decide which one I want (BIX or D-Tek). D-Tek is in stock where as the BIX I'd have to wait a least a month (back ordered :()

Do you really need a shroud? And does it really help/work?

Interesting only as an example of the incorrect way to test radiator performance.
why incorrect?

and a shroud should help. It reduces turbulence reated by the fans, so there will be more airflow.
