Which pump? DD12V-D4 or MCP600

The MCP600 is a little less powerful, but quieter, so if noise is your concern it's the pump for you.

The MCP600 is much queter than the Laing D4, but the D4 walks all over it in terms of performance. :)

I was asking myself this same question a few days ago. I looked at the noise chart for the DD pump, and decided that the MCP600 would flow more with more head at the same noise levels. MCP600 wins me over, yet again. :D

I might be changing to liquid soon to see what my 1700+ can pull. I'm looking at both pumps also. When you say the DD12V is louder how would it compare to something like a 120mm fan ? like the one I got from SVC that has LEDs? Or something like a smartfan 2 at full RPM?

also in terms of reliability, which one wins?

Im hearing that the DD pump is louder than a 120...yet another user here syas its real quiet....so I dunno...im thinkin bout buying one thoe

I haven't personally heard a DD12V, but my MCP600 is not audible above my low speed 120mm fan and hard drives.

As for reliability, both pumps are too new to tell for sure, but they'll likely both have good reliability.
