Ok well im building a new system in a few days and im in need of a new psu.
I just got a email from new egg with some promos

I have around 100 to spend. If theres something better out there in my price range then I would really love a modular psu but it's no big deal if it's not.

Heres the new specs
CPU: Soon to be Q6600
MB: Abit IP35-E
RAM: OCZ PC6400 2 gigs
HDD: 160gb Wester Digital SATA 7200rpm, 400gig Wester Digital SATA 7200rpm
GPU: 8600gt
PSU: .....
OS: Vista
 
Looks like a great system for the Corsair HX520. And it is in your price range.
 
Is that going to be enough power because I'm going to be overclocking.
 
ok but if I upgrade to a 8800 gt or gs in the next month or so.
Cus this comp is going to last me a while and that would be the only thing i see myself upgrading.
 
In the recent review of the 9800GX2 on an (admittedly 45nm) quad-core, load draw was only 365W. An overclocked Q6600 with an 8800GT wouldn't come close to being a problem.
 
ok thanks guys. I'm going to micro center tomorrow or friday to buy the quad so ill see what they have there.
