I'm buying this motherboard when its back in stock and I was wandering which processor I should pair it with? Suggestions for single core and dual core processors are welcome since I am looking at both as of right now.

Pentium-D 820 or 830 and OC the hell out of it. Or, if your primarily a gamer, I'd suggest sticking with a single core, Hyperthreading chip. A Pentium 4 650 would be a good middle high end choice. It should be able to hit 4.0GHz pretty easily, although heat may be an issue depending on your setup.

i'd pick up P4 670 if i were you & OC the living crap out of... the price on em has dropped down to just above $600 recently

How well does the 670 overclock? Could I hit 4.8GHz on it with good air or water cooling? I would love to grab a P4 3.73EE chip, but its a little costly.

It depends on how much you want to spend, but my vote goes for a Pentium D chip. Whatever is in your price range, and a very good cooler.

Depends on what you're using your computer for. If it will be used mostly for Gaming, then a single proc like the 650 or even a 551 (1MB L2 + 64bit) would easily do. If multi-media is its main use then the 830D might be a slightly better choice.
