All in One Printer
What I mean by that is a lot of printers now days i see comes with software that is really heavy and often cause problem slowing down PC.

I'm asking if there are any printers out there comes with lite software that does good job and no crapware

Anything but HP or Lexmark should be O.k.

Canon is probably one of the best if not the best.

Their driver package is going to be about 1/6 to 1/7th the size of the HP package.

And since you are looking at new printers, take a serious look into a nice laser unit.

The toner ends up being a lot less expensive compared to crappy ink in the long run and laser printers usually last quite a bit longer as well.

Make sure you do a bit of research and find a laser printer that has toner cartridges that you can refill instead of just replace so you can bring the cost down even more.

My old Konica-Minolta laser printer went about 2 years on one toner... another two years on the first refill and then the original drum started developing lines over two years later after I had finally had to refill it a second time.... $80 for toner over a 6 year period is not bad at all.. and I used this printer extensively for work and school, sometimes printing 30-40 pages a day.

Hp's 8500 pro wifi drivers that come with the windows 7 are small, and have none if the crap the downloadable version has.

It's all in one.

My canon lets me install just the drivers and not any of the other programs. I think I also needed their scanning program to use scanning. Much better than the hp bloatware.
