I'm building a video editing rig that consists of the 3930K, Rampage IV, Corsair H100, 2x GTX580, 6x hard drives. What's the best power supply out there? Is the Corsair 1200W a good option? Or Silverstone 1200W? 1500W?

i just bought a seasonic X-1250 its really nice works well

850 watts is enough. Seasonic X850, Corsair AX850, Antec HCP-850, Enermax Platimax 850, NZXT Hale 90 850 watt, Silverstone Strider Gold 850, and the Lepa G900 are some of the higher end ones, all with gold or platinum efficiency.

For less costly options, look at the Corsair HX850 and the XFX Pro 850 watt.

i think the seasonic x-850 and the corsair AX850 are the same psu but the HX850 is made by CWT. i kinda like seasonic maybe iam biase now but i like their gold plated connectors depends though on the prices on these units and just get the best deal you can.

AX850 is indeed based on the X850 platform. I'm just listing the ones available for him on Newegg.

Who cares if the HX850 is made by CWT? Bottom line is that it is a very good quality unit.

i have nothing against the HX850 its just that i had some weird incompatible issue with that and my p67 sabertooth. it seems the motherboard is picky about which psu to allow sleep
