Which panel this 2 PHILIPS 24'' LCD's ?

and yet no confirmation on IPS or anything :(

Google sure doesnt give much info does it? Maybe send Philips an email. Not that this answers your question, but I might be getting the HP ZR24W next month. e-IPS panel.

Philips = lying, cheating pricks. Do not buy, better still put Philips on your shit list of brands to avoid entirely as they can't be trusted.

With TN the classic spec was always 170°/160° or 170°/170° with contrast ratio specified at 10:1. Obviously it's laughable because 10:1 is pathetic, but Philps do worse with CR of 5:1 quoted. Indeed if you google a bit you will find that these are TN panels, and obscenely overpriced.

This is just outright misrepresentation of the product, and Philips should be prosecuted for false advertising.

but Philps do worse with CR of 5:1 quoted

Don't many/most manufacturers do that anyway these days? I don't think any TN can reach even 10:1 contrast at 160/170 degrees so I believe they already are using the spec at 5:1 contrast ratio, at least vertically. That still does mean Philips are lying and misleading people if those are indeed TN panels.
