Which Panel is in the 24" iMac?

any one know which LCD Panel is in the 24" iMac?

I did some digging and looks like it's a LM240WU2 from LG IPS panel.

it look real good in person. can anyone confirm.

also does anyone know where to get one of those panel. just the panel.

I would like to get a LM240WU1 or the LM240WU2

I thought it used the same S-PVA as the Dell. If it was indeed an S-IPS, I'm almost certain it would have come up in one of the 24" threads where people are wanting an S-IPS. It hasn't.

I saw it in person and it did not look like my two 2405. I didn't see any fading. or color washout.

Well, that would be because its not at all similar to your 2405. It would be similar to the not-3 -years-old 2407WFP.

I had the 20" iMac and am pretty sure that it is IPS. Though I've not used the 24" long enough to make any really educated guesses, I'd say that it's IPS too because it looks as good as the 20" but brighter.

I use the 2407 too and it's very much the same as the 2405 in viewing angle.
