According to my local store:
P5K-SE = $114
P5K = $129
P5K-E/Wi-Fi = $153

I am building a gaming PC with E8400, eVGA 8800GT-512 MG. I plan to OC from 3.0 Ghz to 3.4-3.5 GHz.

The difference between the P5K and P5K-E are:
1. Wi-Fi
2. 8 phase power design
3. Stack Cool 2, up to 20C cooler

Wi-Fi is not important for me. How important is the 8 phase power design? Does Stack Cool 2 really lower the temp by 20C?

1. Not important
2. Not sure... prolly not very important, but nice to have
3. Doubt it.

None.
The P5K series is a mess.

According to whom?? What facts or proof do you present??

As for my opinion on the P5K, I guess it just depends. I'm personally 99.9% going to buy the P5K-Deluxe here very soon for my new build, but the P5K-Premium caught my attention the other night.

If you want less, I would imagine the P5K and the P5K-E are not bad choices. As for 8 phase power, the more "phases", the cleaner and more accurate the power, two very good things for your processor. Look for an 8 phase or even a 12 phase, though I don't think the P5K series sport any 12 phase designs.

i'm happy with my P5K w/ wifi. I have no gripes, and the board OC's very easily. rock solid with 4gb ram (4x1gb ddr2800)
