Im looking to replace my current D0 P4 3.4Ghz 550 with a newer rev. I have a couple choices. I have plenty of cooling cap in my WC system. My current CPU running @ 4.0 GHz runs @ about 47-48C under load.
I was looking @ a couple different CPUs and was wondering if anyones had good experiences with them.
The P4 630 3.0 seems to be nice with a 15x mult on it and is a little cheaper
P4 550J Same cpu as i have new rev. same price as current
P4 640 3.2 has a 16x mult same price as the 550j
One other Q. can you adj the mult down on the 6xx series like you can with the 5xx series's. I can access the 14x mult on my 550 right now, and thats what im running on. I would love to run on 300 bus with 250 ram. Im running currently 285 bus with 228 mem.
I woudl love anyones input on this matter. Thanks
