Which one x800xt or 6800 Gt

If the price difference is nothing to you, the X800XT, it's as fast, or faster than the 6800 ultra, so it should be no surpise it bests the 6800GT.

Yes it will play both games at max quality fine, although I dont think you can do more than 2X aa at 1600x1200, if you're going to get a vivo XT, just get a sappire X800 pro vivo and flash it, and save a few bucks.

Unless you play ONLY Doom3....get the X800XT....that's the only game in which the GT can give a substantial lead. In Far Cry the XT owns the GT...and in HL2 you can call it...a draw.... unless you run at very high res and high levels of AA/AF (such as 1800x1440 2x 8x) where the XT will do better...


Pull that trigger, XT is the way to go for now IMO. I switched and am much happier.
