so I got gifts for the christmas...

and two gifts I received was
mx 1000
and mx510.....

my question is.. which one should I keep?
i know mx1000 is suppose to be latest and the greatest
but I heard mx510 is best used with games..

so which one should i keep?
 
Do you have to get rid of one? you can plug em both in and use the mx510 for games and mx1000 for everything else. If i had to keep one i'd go with Mx1000 but i dont play games so for you i'd recommend the MX510 cause its better overall when it comes to gaming.
 
my belief would be that the mx1000 is better than the mx510 in normal deskot usage, and the mx1000 and mx510 are nearly the same for gaming. In that case, id get the mx1000, I would know how good it is cause I lhave and love it. Oh ya, I dont ever wanna go wired again now that theres actualyl a GOOD wireless mouse
 
i picked up an MX1000 today. upgraded from my logitech trackball.

im in love. it is a bit heavy but i have no problem gaming with it. im sure the MX510 is great as well but if you already have both, id keep the better one :)
 
I love my MX 1000 and it is quite good for gaming. It is superb for all other uses. I have never used the MX 510 but I have used the previous Dual Laser mouse by Logitech and this has offered me the same experience if not better in gaming. Plus...EXTRA BUTTONS!

Besides the MX700 being a little heavy ( I like it that way ) there was nothing wrong with it.

ahaha, but that mx1000 looks decent, I guess, but I'm personally waiting for a keyboard and mouse bundle so I don't have to use two recievers :(
 
IMHO MX510!
MX1000 is a nice mouse... but for office use only. I wish I could get one of the new coloured Icemats can't wait to get this awsome thing.
