which would be better, the audio built into this mobo: link, or a sound blaster audigy mp3+? i just need to know if i need the card for my new pc.

well that board has soundstorm so it really depends on what you are pluggin into the sound card. I'd say the onboard will be all you need.

the thing is i already own the card, and i was wondering if it would be better to use the onboard or that. i will basically be using it for gaming, and listening to music.

Well, you most likely have analog speakers (means they hook up to the audio jacks) and in which case the Audigy would be better. IF you were to be hooking the system up to a surround sound reciever digitally, then the Soundstorm may be something to consider. Keep in mind: many people have reported problems with Soundstorm, fewer report problems with Audigy's, AND most of those have to do with how big the software package is or how much of it they don't use. For games, Augigy wins all around, even the original Audigy over newer competitors cards. EAX 4 and low CPU utilization can really help in games, especially with a surround sound speaker setup.
