Which one for Sata Raid 0?

Since they're still unreliable, I think price is secondary.

just curious: what year do you think Solid State Drives will be cheap enough for the mainstream PC user? For example 100gb for £40 or around $60 US.

I would go with the 500 gig. You always need more space eventually.

There is nothing unreliable about SSDs. They just have some limitations in a few specific situations. You can overcome those limitations with a good RAID setup (like me) or you can buy a premium drive like the Intel. But overall, they are much faster than magnetic drives.

Prolly early next year will see them really take off and the prices getting mainstream. This application of FLASH RAM is really in it's infancy right now.
