I know this function is available in Agent 4, say

there is a file called Part1.rar

within Part1.rar, it has 50 components and

say components 5, 6, 7, 8, 23, 25, 27, 45, 46 are missing

Now, the same person upload it again, but this time, with in part1.rar

say components 9, 10, 21, 22 are missing but the other components are intact.

With Agent 4, you can EXPAND Part1.rar, and JOIN with the other (re-uploaded) Part1.rar, and edit the components.

Which news reader can do this function and can read NZB file?

I have Quick PAR. I am not talking about re-constructing using PAR2.

I am facing a situation that the PARs are not enough. But the same file were uploaded twice. Ea. upload has some missing parts. I was to add the missing parts of file 1 from the intact parts of the other file 1 (the other upload)

I am not sure about your situation, but SabNZBD+ works great for me.

I use newsbin pro.

back in my usenet /giganews days i used newsbin pro. I also used quick par separately. But, I am pretty sure there was an option within newsbin pro that would rebuild the files using the par files for you automatically.

QFT! I have been on Usenet since 2003 and have tried most clients for Windows.

SABnzbd+ beats them all! It's free, open-source, EXTREMELY customizable with bunch of user created mods. You can even get the app for your iPhone and load NZB's on the go. Best of all, it takes full advantage of multiple cores. I personally had doubts as it's web based, but man this is even faster then Alt.Binz (my previous favorite app). It is also supported on all major OS's. :D
