which netbook is for me?

i want to know what netbook you guys recommend, i have $300ish to spend and it needs to have good battery life, cheaper is better would prefer an atom in it but will settle for 900mhz or more cpu in it and any os is fine, please dont recommend one that is $500 because if i was spending that much i should just get myself a phenom II x4 940 with mobo and ram. i am going to be using this for school and for long trips so battery life (like i allready said) is a MUST! also if it helps i allready have a n external dvd drive, dont care if its new/used/refurb/openbox just needs to be in good condition with nice battery, oh i forgot 2gb is very little space so 4gb or more please and thank you in advanced :)
 
i heard about the 901's and their battery life, how much do you get average?
 
read up on the nc10 its good but i need to find somewhere selling it cheap
 
i checked out the netbook buyers guide, the asus n10 drew my attention with the dedicated video card but the battery life cant be that good with a 3 cell battery so ill look for a 3rd party 9 cell battery or an official 6cell battery
