Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
hey guys, im new in this forum, i have a question, i have to change my pc, its old of 5 yo, its better buy an Rampage Extreme III with i7 950, or wait 2 weeks, and buy Maximus Extreme IV with i7-2600k?
Unless you need more then dual GPUs, the 6 core 980x, and/or triple channel memory (16gb max vs. 24gb, typically for size as well), it makes more sense to go with a Sandybridge setup new nowadays.
Unless you can specifically take advantage of the high thread count on X58 ( which would mean you would have to get a 970 or 980 ) you would be better off buying a P67 based system clock for clock faster.
Superior I/O
Superior scaling in overclocking
IMC performance is superior
overall there are alot of reasons but the fact it is P67 is cooler anbd cheaper and has superior overclocking.
Additionally unless you are really focusing at really pushing the board ( OC ) or you need 3 way support i would consider either of the boards below
P8P67 PRO
If you do need 3 Way support our P8P67 WS Revolution.
Hope this helps. Please enjoy the rest of your day.
