Which mobo is better?

Just looking at the specs I would go with the Asus but personally I don't like Asus boards. I have had way to many stability problems with them in the past.
 
Wow that albatron board is pretty neat. Socket 478 on 915P...very cool. I would go with the albatron one. It gives you pci-e in a conveinent 478 package. Albatron makes great boards, BTW, in case you haven't used them. I had one of their K8X800 Pro II's and it was awesome.

I don't know how that could be the case. Asus is known mostly for its stability and quality. I'd take virtually any Asus board over almost any other brand for that reason.

Even though the Albatron has a newer chipset, the Asus board would perform about the same.

Graphics card choice should really tip the scales here one way or another. Are you going to use AGP or PCI-Express?
 
Ok this is my thing.. I had everything picked out to build my computer and it was all agp. My friend then told me I should go with PCI-E and the only socket I can use is 478 because that is what my processor is. So do I need to switch to PCI-E or does it really matter?
 
You should go with PCI Express because that's what all of the manufacturers are pushing now. Right now there is little difference in performance levels between AGP and PCI-E cards, but all of the new cards will be released on the PCI-E format first.

On the Intel side, all of the newer chipsets (915, 925, 945, 955) support PCI-E cards. It's amazing that you could find a Socket 478 board that uses the 915P chipset (most use the Socket T/LGA775). Out of the two, I would choose the Albatross, because it has the better set of features, including PCI Express.
