Still can't make up my mind whether to go Intel or AMD this go-round, but memory brands are the biggest fuzz area for me.

Who's got the reliable sticks right now?

Ram is pretty much a commodity item at this point. Find the speed you want with good warranty. G-skill and crucial are often suggested. I'd avoid OCZ.
 
G.Skill is great on a budget. Mushkin and Corsair are nice if you have a little more coin.

Avoid OCZ and Crucial.
 
Anything rated for no more than 1.50V (DDR3) or 1.80V (DDR2) and with clearly identifiable chip manufacturer markings. If you can't tell the chip maker from just looking at the chips and seeing either the logo of the company that diffused the chips (SEC, Hynix, Micron, etc.) or by Googling the part numbers, get some other modules. If you have to get something with no-name chips, consider Kingston because at least their RMAs always seem to be good, provided you spoke with 2nd level tech support and complained that their memory failed MemTest86 with several completely different computers.
