After looking at various threads, to me the two 19" LCDs that stand out are the Viewsonic VX910 and the Samsung 193P.

I was just wondering of the two, and also the: Sharp LL191AB and the Benq FP937, which 19" LCD would you pick (or any other suggestions?)?

Well I picked the Samsung 193P,But I may be a bit biased seeing how I have one.Reasons below....

+'s
True color.
178 degree viewing angle, horizontal and vertical.
Very thin and stylish.
The screen is very flexible as far as positioning goes.
Comes with mounting hardware.
Comes with both the DVI and Analog cables.
No buttons for adjustment.
Samsung support.(Haven't had to use it myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about their support.)
High contrast,very sharp text.

-'s
20ms Response time. Not perfect for gaming, but not bad either.
A bit pricey

IMHO the pluses far outweight the minuses, but I have never seen any of the others in action so I can't speak for them.

I just ordered the Viewsonic VX910 cause aftre days of research is seams people ae really happy with the color/brightness and don't notice ghosting. The benqs 12ms is great, but picture /constrast quality?.. i didn't want to risk it.

Just bought the 12ms Viewsonic VP912b which has a much nicer base than either the VX910 or the Sony HS94P. The panel used is very likely the same as in the Sony, so the picture quality and viewing angles is very good. It also has a reflective coating like the Sony, so that feature appears to be part of the LCD panel, not something Sony came up with on their own.

Like cstafs, I'm biased toward the 193P. I agree with all his list of Pluses. I especially like the ability to wall mount it. Hanging the monitor on the wall really frees up a lot of desk space. The only Minus I can come up with is the price. It is expensive, but to me it's worth every penny. As far as the 20ms response, I have not experienced any ghosting in any of the games I play. (America's Army, Battlefield Vietnam, & Joint Ops). Some of you young pups might detect some ghosting, but to my OLD eyes, it just *aint* there :D

if you're goin for 19" 1280x1024 max resolution LCDs then why not shell out extra $100-$200 for a 20" 1600x1200 LCD?

i would get the Viewsonic VP201B... but i'm still undecided, i really want a 23" widescreen

the lowest ive seen VP201B is $850 shipped thru pricegrabber
